FRIENDS x JCI Roxas Halaran was a men's gathering held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 9 AM to 12 noon at Destiny City Church on Mabini St., Roxas City. It was a partnership between the chapter and the church's FRIENDS men's group, two men's groups coming together to connect, grow and uplift each other in leadership and faith.
The message
Rev. Rey Calusay spoke on the greatest leader in the Bible, Jesus, and on His life of service as the model for men who want to make a lasting, positive impact on the world around them.
The gathering started from a belief the chapter shares with FRIENDS: true leadership is rooted in faith. For men, the call to lead begins in the family, extends to the workplace and reaches out into the community. The invitation put it simply: to position men to live, love and lead.
Part of a bigger month
The gathering opened a busy June for the chapter's men's programs. Later that month came Kuwentong Tatay and Talentadong Tatay at SM City Roxas, followed in July by the first IRONMEN Awards.
It was tagged under Mission Possible 2025, JCI's program on health and well-being, and the theme of building resilient minds. Destiny City Church has stayed a partner since, sponsoring the 2026 IRONMEN Awards and the HalaRUN for Juan community run.
