"Be a Friend, Not a Bully" is a special project of JCI Roxas Halaran for children. It teaches them how to be kind, respectful and caring to others, and reminds everyone that it is always better to make friends than to hurt others with words or actions.

How it works

The project uses fun games, stories and teamwork activities to help children learn to say no to bullying and yes to friendship. The idea is simple: when children choose to be friends, schools and communities become happier and safer places for everyone.

Part of Education for Peace

The chapter ran the project in 2025 under JCI Philippines' Education for Peace program, with the theme of empowering communities through education for peace. In May 2025 the chapter also co-hosted Education for Peace trainings with fellow JCI chapters.

What we still need to record

The chapter's Facebook post about the project does not give the date, the school or the number of children reached. Officers are adding those details. If you took part or have photos, please message the chapter so this page can be completed.

Other work the chapter has done with schoolchildren includes Bags to School 2025 and Bags of Hope 2026.
