In June 2026, JCI Roxas Halaran brought Bags of Hope 2026 to Balaring Elementary School in Ivisan, Capiz. It was the chapter's implementation of the national Bags of Hope program, on its Bags to School track.
What the school received
- Every student got a school bag filled with learning materials. The chapter reached 100% of the school's students.
- The faculty received textbooks and two new electric fans to make classrooms more comfortable.
More than supplies
The chapter also spent the morning running a "Dear Future Me" dreaming workshop, where the children wrote down their biggest hopes for themselves and their community. The visit ended with a "Pay it Forward" oath, asking the children to pass on the kindness they received that day.
How it was funded
Before the visit, the chapter asked for donations under the line "One bag. One child. One future." PHP 250 covered school supplies for one child, and PHP 1,000 equipped four. The chapter thanks its members, the school administrators, partners and donors who made the drop-off possible.
The chapter's recap reel used "Jaycees", its original soundtrack from the HALAD AUDIO LAB.
The year before, the chapter ran Bags to School 2025 at Culasi and Dumulog Elementary Schools.
