Juan Cares for Juana: Gentlemen Accelerating Action and Empowering Women was a Women's Month symposium organized by JCI Roxas Halaran. It was held on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Governor's Hall, Capiz Provincial Capitol, Roxas City.
The idea
JCI Roxas Halaran is an all-male chapter. For Women's Month, it asked a question from the men's side: what can men do to support women? Speakers it called "Empowered Gentlemen", from various male organizations, shared how men can take meaningful action to uplift and support women in all parts of life.
The line behind the event: "When Juan takes action, Juana thrives." The goal was to break barriers and build a future where men and women uplift each other.
Tickets and proceeds
Tickets were PHP 200, which included a meal, a drink and a raffle ticket for prizes. Proceeds went to the chapter's Bags to School 2025 beneficiaries, providing school supplies to children in need.
Part of a pattern
The symposium was tagged under JCI Philippines' Pinay Power program. The chapter has kept marking Women's Month since, with the EmpoweRUN run in March 2026 and the solo parents' celebration in Maayon in April 2026.
The chapter's posts do not report the number of attendees or the amount raised. Officers are confirming those figures.
